01 — What we run

Eight finance functions, staffed and managed

Hand over one process or the whole finance function. Every engagement is staffed by named people, documented from day one, and reviewed by a senior before anything reaches you.

S/01

Bookkeeping

Daily entries, bank and card reconciliations, month-end close and catch-up work on books that have slipped.

02 — Why Thames Global

Built as an extension of your firm, not a vendor

Outsourcing fails when the team is anonymous, the process is undocumented and nobody owns the outcome. The delivery model exists to fix exactly that.

W/01

You meet the people

Named staff, introduced on a call before day one. No rotating pool, no anonymous ticket queue.

W/02

Real hours overlap

Live overlap with both London and US Eastern working hours, so questions get answered the same day.

W/03

Security you can audit

ISO 27001 and SOC 2 aligned controls, locked-down VDI, no local storage, NDAs signed down to the individual.

W/04

Pricing that stays flat

Fixed hourly or monthly rates agreed up front. No change orders, no minimum-term traps, no discovery invoices.

W/05

Reviewed before it reaches you

Every deliverable passes a senior reviewer. You receive finished work, not a first draft to correct.

W/06

Scale in weeks, not quarters

Add or pause capacity on 30 days' notice — busy season staffed without a permanent payroll commitment.

W/07

Documented from day one

We write the SOP as we learn your process, and you keep it. Continuity never depends on one person.

03 — Engagement

Three ways to work with us, compared

Pick by how much day-to-day control you want. You can switch models later without re-onboarding.

04 — How it works

Live inside four weeks

A fixed onboarding sequence, so you know exactly what happens and when.

Week 01

Scope & price

We review volumes and systems, then send a costed proposal with the team named and the rate fixed.

Week 02

Access & security

VDI provisioned, role-based access granted, NDAs signed, and your security questionnaire answered in full.

Week 03

Shadow & document

Your team is observed doing the work. We write the SOP as we learn it — and you keep that document.

Week 04

Run in parallel

We run the process with your team reviewing, then take it over once output matches on two full cycles.

08 — FAQs

The questions we get asked first

Because routine transaction work consumes senior time that earns far more elsewhere. Firms typically move 60–70% of compliance hours offshore and redeploy that capacity into advisory, which carries three to four times the realisation rate. For businesses, it removes the cost and risk of hiring, training and replacing an in-house bookkeeper.

All work happens inside a locked-down virtual desktop with no local storage, no USB access and no personal email. Controls are aligned to ISO 27001 and SOC 2, access is role-based and logged, and every individual signs an NDA in addition to the firm-level agreement. You can audit the environment, and many clients do.

Dedicated staff start around £9 / $12 per hour for transactional roles and rise with seniority. Pay-as-you-go is billed against approved timesheets. Managed service is a fixed monthly fee per process, quoted once we've seen the volume. You get the number before you commit — we don't issue discovery invoices.

Two to four weeks depending on model. Week one is scoping and pricing, week two is access and security setup, week three we shadow your process and write the SOP, week four we run in parallel with your team reviewing. Full handover typically completes inside 30 days.

An FTE is your person: you assign the work, set priorities and manage them day to day. Managed service is our process: we own the outcome against an SLA and you receive the finished deliverable. Choose FTE when your process is unusual or changes often, managed service when it's stable and you'd rather stop thinking about it.

Yours. Our teams are trained across Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, FreeAgent, Dext, Bill.com and the common payroll and expense platforms in both markets. We adapt to your stack rather than asking you to migrate.

The SOP written during onboarding stays with the engagement, and a backup is cross-trained on your account from month one. Replacement is at our cost and there is no re-onboarding fee. Continuity is our obligation, not your risk.
